Missing the Gym

On the evening of February 12th I was dancing the night away at my friend Lucy's sister's Bat Mitzvah, well let’s just say I had a little too much fun and ended up with a broken foot, a spiral fracture to the 5th Metatarsal to be exact.

Prior to breaking my foot I had made a commitment to myself back in September of 2010 to workout 5-6 times a week. Since September I had followed through on that commitment doing everything from spinning, Zumba, total body conditioning, Pilates, Core Fusion and so much more!!!

Luckily I had made that commitment to myself otherwise the last 4 weeks on 1 leg would have been very tough. Core Fusion made my legs so much stronger and Pilates had strengthened my core muscles allowing my getting around on crutches to be a bit easier.

Now that it has been a little over 4 weeks in a cast I am finally able to start light workouts again. So today I will begin with some Core Fusion Pure Abs & Arms and some leg lifts.

Very much looking forward to getting back into the spin studio in April!!!!


  1. Love the Pure Abs & Arms DVD! The arm section with the band is really hard, especially the very last turning move. Hope you get better soon, I know how hard it is to be out of commission.
